Improvements have been made: the ability to view the answers found to previous Enigmas in a Quest, and the ability to view previously solved Enigmas in high resolution.

Find the answers to previous Enigmas

Thank you to our new Governor, Ben Gunn, for placing your trust in me. As many of you now know, if there's anyone who loves adventure here, it's him. Ben can't do everything alone and needs someone to ensure that everyday things go smoothly. He needed someone who knows the ins and outs of Nassau, its inhabitants, and regulars. He thought of me, and it's an honor that particularly touches me. But it's also a responsibility, and I hope to fulfill it with the expected success. I promise to apply myself seriously. My first action will be to ensure that those who are currently completing Quests can access the answers to the previous Enigmas. I'll find a way to do it safely, and I'll propose something satisfying. I'll keep you in the loop. Word of a pirate.

Arnaut B. "Noon"

Arnaut B. "Noon"
Intendant of the Pirate Republic

Appointment of an Intendant

My dear friends, our Republic is going through many changes. Some are visible, others less so, but all are essential: they will allow us to exercise our talents with even more ease, and above all, to experience new and incredible adventures in the near future! I will have some announcements to make on this subject, but we need to be a little more patient. I have been listening, in recent days, as I like to do in the Old Port, to small conversations among old sea wolves, privateers, and fellow pirates. These conversations are fascinating! I realize that there are a lot of things we could do to make our daily lives even better. To this end, I have decided to appoint an Intendant who will be responsible, under my and the Council's supervision, for implementing the changes that our Republic deserves. I ask you to give a warm welcome to the first Intendant of our Republic, Arnaut B. aka "Noon," an old salt whom some of you may know and for whom Nassau and its archipelago have no more secrets. He will keep you regularly informed about the marketplace; his voice carries, you should hear him when he reports on the stewardship. My dear friends, spring is already well underway. The beautiful days are coming... and so are the big catches. Fair winds to you!

Message from the new Governor of Nassau

Dear fellow pirates,

I have accepted the position of Governor of Nassau starting on Tuesday, April 4th. It was important to have someone like you, a good pirate, honest, upright, intelligent, and a non-violent advocate, take command of our infamous little archipelago. We have much to do, as we must not only strongly repel the successive emissaries of the King of England, but also stand up to the royal navies of France or Spain. Of course, we must also safeguard our primary source of income, which are mainly the Spanish ships loaded with spices, fabrics, commodities of all kinds, gunpowder, and more or less precious minerals, which return with their holds full from Peru, New Granada, or New Spain...

I must, of course, succeed in reconciling the minor squabbles and conflicts that sometimes arise between pirate crews. It is, of course, on this matter that I am expected to use my experience and the wisdom that seems to be recognized in me.

But above all, my friends, know that it is our shared passion for adventure, discovery, and legendary mysteries that motivated me to become your Governor. I want to promote as much as possible the sharing of fabulous stories from the pirates of the Seven Seas, provide you with the most exclusive information about the most mysterious treasures, and give you access to all that gold that lies dormant... for today, or for eternity, as the old treasure hunters would say.

That is why I ask all pirates who frequent Nassau to not hesitate to share their leads on the most elusive treasures. Among you are exceptional detectives. I want to provide you with the means to help those who are confronted with formidable puzzles, in order to get their hands on impregnable loot. Your intelligence is a treasure in itself, and it sets you apart from the common pirates. We must give our pirate republic of Nassau a new lease of life, and it will come through your ingenuity! The genius of a pirate is not measured by the number of captured ships, but by their ability to find what no one else can.

Long live the Pirate Republic!
