Dear fellow pirate,
I am writing to you faster than expected to tell you about a new opportunity. I hope you have made good progress on the previous one!
As it turns out, I obtained from an Italian friend a set of maps and documents from an isolated pirate who was rampant off the coast of Italy. It would be an Englishman who spent his days on shore stealing works of art. As he circled the peninsula, he would have ended up accumulating a nice loot. But, for some reason, he parted with the treasure and kept it away from the ruins of farm buildings on a small island further east. He would never have come back to look for it.
The indications to find this island are rather simple and full of imagery, as you will see. I have tried to unravel this mystery myself, but I have to face the facts, I am not as good as you at this exercise.
If you accepted this mission, you would make me happy. And of course, you will be able to keep any items you want, if you end up finding the location of this treasure.
